The Web Developer will support the Office of the University Registrar's
strategic planning activities and goals by collaborating with office managers
and other developers to build high-quality application systems to support
customer service and organizational operations. Engages in the sandbox and
production-level web applications utilizing APIs, JSP, HTML/CSS, D3.JS,
JQuery, and other web technologies. The Web Developer will have a keen
interest in web development, and a passion for identifying and answering
questions that help build the best products and services to meet our
customers' needs. Performs other job-related duties assigned.Performs other
duties as assigned.

**_This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote).
The duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple
University and the hiring department._**

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree and one year of related technical, web development, software
architecture, or database application experience. Demonstrated experience with
a relational database, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Python, API, and related web
technologies. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be
considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

* Demonstrated understanding and technical grasp of software development lifecycles.
* Strong analytical, programming, interfacing, and testing skills.
* Experience developing Java web-based applications.
* Knowledge in core web technologies including HTML4/5, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX.
* Ability to solve analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
* Demonstrated understanding and technical grasp of relational databases, machine learning methodology, and large data sets.
* Ability to manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.
* Demonstrated ability to write analytical and technical reports.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to relate to a diverse group of management and staff.
* Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and work independently, as well as part of a team with a commitment to detail and accuracy.
* Self-starter with strong self-management skills.
