Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Engineering to lead and grow
our 5 person engineering team. As a key member of the leadership team, you
will drive the technical vision, strategy, and execution of our product
roadmap. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology stack, scaling
our infrastructure, and ensuring that our platform is secure, reliable, and

Key Responsibilities:
• Technical Leadership: Define and drive the technical vision and architecture
for our products, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team,
fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Product Development: Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of
our health tech platform, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to align engineering
goals with business strategy and product roadmap.
• Innovation: Identify emerging technologies and industry trends to keep our
platform at the forefront of health tech innovation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product,
design, and operations, to deliver seamless and impactful user experiences.
• Scalability & Performance: Ensure the platform can scale effectively to meet
growing demand while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for security, privacy, and
regulatory compliance, particularly in healthcare-related areas such as HIPAA.
• Budget Management: Manage the engineering budget, making strategic decisions
to optimize resources and investments.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a
leadership role, preferably in a health tech or startup environment.
• Technical Expertise: Strong background in software development, with
expertise in cloud platforms, microservices architecture, and scalable
infrastructure.
• Leadership: Proven experience building and leading high-performing
engineering teams, with a focus on mentorship and professional development.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the healthcare industry, including
regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA), is highly desirable.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the
ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey
complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
or a related field, or equivalent experience.
