We’re looking for a Senior Investment Associate to join our team and help us
find and invest in the top early-stage AI companies out there. This is an
amazing chance to join a small investment team with the infrastructure and
resources to drive deal flow and catapult your career by playing a crucial
role in sourcing, evaluating and making great investments.

As a Senior Associate on our investment team, your primary role will be
sourcing and assessing investment opportunities for our fund. You will
actively support our thesis work providing market research as we explore new
verticals in the B2B space. In addition, you will be building and maintaining
relationships with our portfolio founders, investors, and the broader startup
ecosystem.

**WHAT YOU 'LL BE DOING:**

* Manage an outbound deal flow process and identify potential investment opportunities to reach out to.
* Deal pipeline management – screen inbound deal flow, and review applications.
* Cultivate relationships with founders, angels, pre-seed and seed funds, startup communities and industry leaders, in order to source prospective investments.
* Prepare internal investment memos and perform due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
* Support the investment team on thesis development, market mapping, and trend research.
* Support the daily operations of the investment team, helping to streamline processes and ensure alignment with team goals and timelines.
* Attend startup events, conferences, and demo days regularly to discover fresh investment opportunities

**WHO YOU ARE:**

* Must be living in LA or SF and plugged into local AI VC/startup ecosystem.
* Deeply passionate about AI, venture capital, and startups.
* You have 2+ years of VC experience.
* An expert networker who isn’t afraid to put themselves out there to connect with new people.
* Possess strong communication, analytical, and strategic reasoning skills.
* Demonstrated strong presentation and business writing capabilities.
* Highly motivated and a self starter who loves sourcing in early stage ventures and evaluating a high volume of deals.
* An entrepreneurial mindset with high integrity, a strong work ethic and takes a lot of pride in their work.
* An exceptional understanding of the venture ecosystem and tapped into venture communities.
* Team player who possesses intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, critical thinking and attention to detail.
* Available to put in 40+ hours per week.
* Bonus points: you have worked on product teams/ have a technical background.

**COMPENSATION:**

* $100-$150,000 USD (varies based on experience)
* Carried interest in the fund
* Flexible work environment
