We're tired of the ticketing experience making the end user feel like cattle
being herded to the slaughter. This lack of connection is not only something
that frustates end users & this founding team... but also venues across the
nation. There's a desire to build a long term relationship via ticketing,
instead of making events feeling like one off transactions.
Phynx is an event operations & intelligence platform that integrates with top
venues, festivals and event orgs allowing them to cultivate better experiences
through integrating their guest gateways (guestlist, tables, ticketing, etc.)
to a central intelligent CRM.
Our platform has already captured several major venues in Southern California,
delivering them cost reductions and better event ROI.
However, we care so deeply about enhancing the ticketing experience that we're
looking to add a founding team member focused on advancing this initiative.
**Your Role: Take Ticketing from Transactional to Experiential**
We believe sign up to checkout should not only excite the user because of the
experience being attended. It should make the period prior to attending feel
like an experience itself. Your role is to cultivate this effect.
Phynx ticketing should be a portal to building a relationship with each event
host. This can be a complex feat, since most events have multiple facets of
ticketing.
This role would be the owner of all these facets. From different tiers of
tickets, to promoter bookings, to guest list access.
We are looking for someone with strong engineering skills alongside a desire
to cultivate a great end user experience. The primary role will be to maintain
and manage all the ticketing access points and make sure they are not only
reliable, but also enjoyable.
Additionally, this role will work closely with the CTO and have knowledge of
the other integrated aspects of Phynx -- such as tables & CRM. You will likely
have to develop tech involving these pieces as well. The mission of Phynx is
around comprehensive integration, so it's vital that every engineering member
understands the holistic nature of the beast.
### You
**About You**
* As the “ticket master” you will be responsible for building great systems and therefore experience with system architecture that you can showcase is key.
* You will eventually lead those under you to build and ship great products, so communication and leadership ability is something we will test for.
* You can showcase quick learning and a fast rate of evolution
* You are comfortable developing mission-critical components involving real-time transactions, especially in ticketing.
* You like to solve problems, and almost take pride in solving really hard problems
* You are comfortable with the necessary intensive periods of startup work
* You can showcase why you're a beast at software & product development
* You care about events and making experiences awesome
**Nice to haves**
* You are well versed in C#, with a .NET backend
* You know the angular framework, react and typescript
* You have experience building user experiences with social components
* You have dealt with processing high volume transcations
* Experience with LLMs and AI agents is a bonus
* You have a personality that will intense on getting work done can keep the mood fairly light
### The Company
**Disclaimer:**
At this moment — we have a product in multiple major event venues that’s been
battle tested and ready to scale. We currently are in the midst of fundraising
in order to do so.
However, we would like to begin the process of vetting and onboarding the
right person for this role as soon as possible as we believe it is vital.
We are flexible on most requirements as long as the person fits the cultural
mission of the company and can showcase their ability to deliver.
