Join the founding team of Joystik, the matchmaking app for gamers to find
friends, teammates and clans.
The mobile app is already developed (outsourced) and ready to launch. Before
launching, we are now onboarding a technical co-founder to polish and continue
improving the app.
You will be joining 2 founders:
Jake (CEO) - creative generalist who has worked on projects at Disney,
Netflix, Amazon & more.
Andrea (CMO) - viral marketing expert who has spearheaded campaigns for
TikTok, Tencent, celebrities & more.
Your duties:
• Define and align the startup's technological direction with business
objectives.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of the mobile app,
prioritizing market-relevant features.
• Implement security protocols for the app and data; ensure regulatory
compliance.
• Streamline development processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This
includes implementing AI into your workflow.
• Communicate tech strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
• Identify technical risks, ensure robust QA processes, and address bugs
promptly.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead the technical team when the time comes.
About you:
• Degree or certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and launching mobile
applications using React Native
• Strong knowledge of current mobile app development frameworks and
technologies.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data protection
regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and
innovatively.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of bridging technical and business
domains.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• A strong passion for gaming and understanding of the online multiplayer
space.
About the role:
• Equity-only, ranging from 33% - 40%. We aim to raise a seed round post-
launch and can discuss salary then.
• Time commitment of at least 10 hours per week, preferably more
• Mostly remote, but may meet in-person every once in a while
Joystik focuses on Mobile, Social Media, SaaS, Sports, and Skill Gaming. Their
