Help build the next software operating system for biology!
We're recruiting a Senior Python, Typescript, GraphQL Tech Lead for our Client
who has raised tens of millions from the top VC firm Andreessen Horowitz to
develop KERNEL - a mammalian synthetic biology platform to enable the design
and manufacture of next-generation therapeutics.
This would create gigantic advances in medicine by accelerating the design and
production of new treatments for currently incurable diseases. It could lead
to breakthroughs in genomics, personalized medicine, and regenerative
therapies, improving the quality of life for many individuals. It would also
allow for more cost effective development of drugs, potentially making life-
saving treatments available to a wider range of people, including those in
low-income communities and developing countries.
You’ll be part of an incredible interdisciplinary team that works directly
with the internal group of scientists, synthetic biologists, and computational
biologists as well as the teammates in software engineering and product.
**What You’ll Do:**
* Design, build, and maintain software tools that are used by bioengineers to advance the design and manufacture of biologics and gene therapies
* Drive the design and development of highly technical projects in partnership with the product and design teams
* Work with a modern stack (TypeScript, Python, GraphQL)
* Directly support and mentor other engineers on the KERNEL team
* Be part of an on-call rotation to support the software you’ve helped develop
* Interface directly with members of the synthetic biology team to identify and prioritize potential improvements to software systems
* Contribute to the technology platform, direction, and culture
