OSNEXUS is looking for a technically adept, support and pre-sales systems
engineer to spearhead engagement with our growing partners and end-user
community. Our software defined storage platform integrates with Ceph and
OpenZFS technologies so we’re looking for candidates with expert level Linux
skills and a strong storage background with open source storage, specifically
with Ceph and/or OpenZFS. The prime candidate for this role will have
exceptional problem-solving and communication skills with the drive to make an
impact through excellent customer support and cross organizational
collaboration with engineering and sales teams.

##### **Key Responsibilities:**
* Assist customers with deploying new QuantaStor scale-up and scale-out storage clusters through our Pre-Go-Live process
* Provide technical assistance to sales team members on customer calls to help gather requirements and provide suggested solutions.
* Provide remote technical support to customers over Zoom
* Provide technical training to customers on how to configure and use QuantaStor features
* Provide technical feedback to engineering with product suggestions on how to improve QuantaStor to meet evolving customer requirements
* Assist with testing QuantaStor with 3rd party products for certifications
* Assist sales team with developing technical responses for RFI/RFP questions
##### **Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related area or demonstration of equivalent knowledge
* Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in supporting networking, application, and/or network-security technologies
* Experience in device-configuration management solutions and processes
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Outstanding communication (verbal and written) with the ability to address both executive and technical audiences
* Ability to quickly learn new technologies and have an ongoing desire to stay current with the latest technologies
* Ability to focus on results while working independently when given a broad direction and desired results
* Ability to adapt to changing goals based on customer demands and market conditions while working with engineering and sales teams
* Strong problem solving skills: must be capable of accurately assessing needs, maintaining a calm business demeanor, and taking quick action to resolve issues
* Experience with cloud service providers / managed service providers and technologies a plus
##### **Technical Requirements:**
* Expert level Linux knowledge with some basic scripting skills (bash, python, etc)
* Solid understanding of networking technologies (VLANs, LACP, DNS, NTP, load balancers, etc)
* Solid understanding of storage protocols (NFS, SMB, iSCSI, NVMe, FC, S3)
* Solid understanding of Windows and macOS
* Solid understanding of hypervisors and containers (VMware, HyperV, Docker)
