## Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

Parade is looking for world-class software engineers to join our small, but
growing engineering team. We are looking for anyone that loves building,
designing, and solving hard problems. If you have a passion for software and
love getting things done, Parade is for you. As a software engineer, you will
own independent features all the way from technical design to launch. We are
looking for people who can bring their architecture, implementation, and
communication skills and build products from top-to-bottom.

#### Responsibilities

* You'll work with others to build new product features from start to finish: through conception, research, implementation, and maintenance. For example, you might build a real-time pricing dashboard for customers to analyze millions of dollars of freight transactions in a way that’s never been seen before.
* You'll help improve performance and reliability, or polish existing features. For example, you might work on scaling our user experience to service over 100,000 monthly active customers.
* Work and play an influential role in a small, fast-paced, tight-knit team. Communication is a key factor to our success and each of our team members makes a lasting impact on our company.

#### What Success Would Look Like in Your First Few Months

* Design and build a way for our users to automate negotiations and transactions with their key partners
* Engage with customers directly to understand their business goals and provide technical scope
* Work with Product and design to figure out and design the highest business-impact features and streamline existing workflows

#### Basic Qualifications

* 4+ years of full-time, professional software development experience, with a focus on back-end technologies
* Proficiency working with frontend technologies, specifically Typescript, React, NextJS
* Professional experience working with backend technologies, specifically any of Python, Django, Django Rest Framework, Node.js, Postgres, and Google Cloud

#### Preferred Qualifications

* Thoughtful problem-solving: For you, problem-solving starts with a clear and accurate understanding of the context. You can decompose tricky problems and work towards a clean solution, by yourself or with teammates. You're comfortable asking for help when you get stuck.
* Experience with building scalable web interfaces and microservices: You understand how parts of a system fit together—from the user experience to the data model.
* Shipping quality code: You have built systems-at-scale that are able to process TBs worth of data
* Pragmatic and business-oriented: You care about the business impact of what you're building, and you prioritize projects accordingly.

#### Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is between $120,000-$180,000 for work
performed in the United States. Starting pay for the successful applicant will
depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience
level, transferrable skills, education, location, business needs, training,
and market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
