**Job Description**
Apex Logic is looking for an experienced Sr. Back-End Developer to join the
Symphony Procurement Suite product development team.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop high-quality and efficient Java code for back-end systems using Spring Boot and Hibernate frameworks
* Design and optimize database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and ensure seamless integration with the application
* Build and maintain RESTful APIs, implementing best practices for API design, documentation, and security
* Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to develop end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements
* Conduct thorough testing, including unit testing and integration testing, to ensure code quality and reliability
* Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and development environments, providing timely resolutions
* Continuously optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose efficient solutions
* Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and actively contribute to technical discussions and knowledge sharing within the team
* Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and timelines
**Requirements:**
* 8+ years experience back-end development experience
* Strong proficiency in Java programming language, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
* Proven experience in developing back-end systems using Spring Boot and Hibernate frameworks
* In-depth knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in writing efficient queries in MySQL
* Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, including familiarity with HTTP methods, status codes, and authentication mechanisms
* Hands-on experience with version control systems, preferably Git
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment
* Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with JIRA or Confluence is desirable
* Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a passion for staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies
* Experience with front-end development using Angular is a plus
* Must comply with all “drug free workplace” requirements as mandated by directives issued by the appropriate federal contracting officer and the company, which requires drug testing for use of illegal drugs by employees in sensitive positions
**Minimum Clearance Required:**
Must be able pass Moderate Public Trust, US Citizen
