**Fender Musical Instruments Corporation** is a world famous brand with
offices across the globe **.** Within **Fender Musical Instruments
Corporation’s** ("FMIC") R&D Software Team, you will develop embedded software
for products used by guitar and bass players. You will have the opportunity to
learn from existing products, but also help chart the course for future
technology-based amplifiers, pedals, and related products.

We are searching for a **Software Engineer II, Embedded** to work on guitar
and bass amplifiers. You will have the opportunity to learn from existing
products, but also to chart the course for future technology-based amplifiers.
You are a self-starter, with a proven ability to continuously learn on your
own.

**_Preferably, this role will be hybrid based out of Scottsdale, AZ.
Consideration will be given to remote candidates. _**

**Essential Functions: **

* Collaborate with coworkers as a member of a product-focused SCRUM agile team
* Implement application and platform features in C++
* Write development tools and test scripts in python
* Help maintain automated builds and software releases
* Participate in process improvement initiatives
* GUI development for embedded devices using frameworks like QT

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree or higher. CE/CSE, CS, EE preferred.
* 2+ years professional software development experience
* 2+ years C++ experience
* 2+ years combined experience with other high-level languages (python, C, java, C#)
* Experience debugging embedded systems
* Familiar with Git or other version control
* Everyday experience using Linux for development, including the command line
* Real-time audio processing experience, multicore programming experience
* Bonus: Familiarity with embedded peripherals like GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI, ADC, USB, BLE, WIFI, Bluetooth
* Bonus: Linux kernel development, or real-time patch experience

foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $70,000.00 – $100,000.00
per year.
