**Position Senior Software engineer**

**Job Description**
This open position is in the Software team under the Research and development
team. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining software
services (Primarily Python and UI - Javascript), and able to support tasks in
Microsoft Azure (partial DevOps – about 25%).
The responsibility also includes choosing the software framework, discussing
with the team members on the framework pros and cons, working on developing
the micro services in python in linux systems and possibly in cloud. Also
develop REST API, MQTT messages and UI integration with back end using REST
API. Also should be able to unit test the developed code and test the
integrated code developed by others. The person should have good communication
skills in order to communicate with team members, product managers, field
service technicians, perform demo, etc. This person will be reporting to the
software manager.
Ideal applicants should be local and able to work at the office Monday to
Friday. One or two days in a week of remote work is acceptable.
Job Duties
Responsible for developing and maintain services in python (primary), Perl
(secondary), and javascript (secondary)
Responsible for developing and maintaining services, database, etc in Azure
Cloud
Responsibility include providing estimate to given task, show progress of
tasks, explain to team members, receive feedback and make corrections, testing
the code, working with QA team, working with field service, etc.
Ready to learn and work on new technologies and languages
Open for code review feedback
Bachelor or masters in Computer programming or equivalent.
If education is not in computer programming, you should be able to prove that
computer programming is the primary job.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years expereince.
Maximum of 15 years experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Salary: $86,680.06 - $185,895.97 per year
