**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
\- Applies engineering best practices in order to analyze and develop software
solutions.
\- Develops software using established development and continuous integration
practices.
\- Work on integrations amongst multiple vendor platforms
\- Work across the organization, engaging with stakeholders and co-working
teams, to solicit and document requirements
\- Make occasional changes to supporting APIs when consulting on UX/UI
elements related to search
\- Write and update custom code within our search engine platform
\- Develop and maintain CICD pipelines for developing and promoting changes in
the search engine platform
\- Act as the subject matter expert for the search service APIs consumed by
other business applications
\- Develop Custom API configurations to connect to sources within NM that are
behind API service layers
\- Proactively monitor to prevent and resolve application system performance
bottlenecks.
\- Proactively ensure SLAs are maintained and systems are built for
sustainability.
\- Understand the technical concepts necessary to do your job effectively and
are aware of industry trends in your domain.
\- Consider and build for many different use cases but avoid over
engineering.
\- Determine where to find answers and grow your own knowledge both with and
without guidance.
\- Utilizes established monitoring and automation processes.
\- Conducts code evaluations.
\- Participates in setting team standards and best practices.
**Qualifications**
-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
-1-3 years professional experience required
-Familiarity using continuous integration and deployment concepts
-Software Engineering experience with modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript and/or Python)
-Familiarity with public cloud and associated technologies (AWS, Azure, Containerization)
-Strong technical skills
-Understanding of your business domain
-Able to mentor new team members
-Can communicate clearly to the business
-Has worked with integrations between SaaS providers, and the technical knowledge to map connections
-Basic understanding for security/authorization related topics
-Large scale enterprise implementation experience
-API Service development (e.g. REST based APIs development)
-Experience with SQL relational databases and NoSQL databases
-Experience with source control and CICD related practices and technologies to automate testing and deployment (e.g. Gitlab)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Monday to Friday
