Alexandria is a rapidly expanding start-up looking to hire a highly motivated
and talented individual to join our team as a Software Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with distributed databases,
preferably cassandra/dynamo DB and kafka. We need someone who has worked with
production code, ideally for 4+ years.
Looking for a great problem solver. We are looking for someone who is an
experienced programmer and will put in the extra effort and loves to learn new
things.
Responsibilities
* Help define requirements for new features and assist with Sprint planning
* Passionate about building and optimizing performance
* Happy to take technical leadership on project work
* Show off your code review, debugging and refactoring skills, taking advantage of every opportunity to make the codebase better
* Shaping, estimating and planning new requirements
* Strive for continuous improvement within the team
* Ability to work in an Agile and high-paced environment
* Work closely with the product team
* Manage, maintain production systems and cloud infrastructure
* Provide scalable and reliable distributed solutions for future system growth
Qualifications
* 5 Years of Relevant Work Experience, internships not included.
* MS degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
* Strong knowledge in working with Unix/Linux Environment, Relational databases, distributed storage system, networking, Web application development; Google cloud platform.
* Skilled programming skills in Java and Python
* Software development experiences including build system, deployment system
