seeking a software engineer with critical thinking and effective communication
skills to perform systems and software engineering functions for unmanned
systems, combat systems, torpedo development, and/or torpedo defense software
development projects. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to
the development of mission-critical, real-time military software applications,
simulation tools, and/or interfaces across all phases of the system
development lifecycle

* Work on interesting and challenging software projects such as:
* Modeling and simulation of unmanned systems
* Development of unmanned system autonomy software
* Test and simulation to measure effectiveness of algorithms
* Assist government teams with engineering development
* Participate in all areas of the software development lifecycle from planning through test evaluation

##### **Required Qualifications:**
* Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical degree
* Academic or professional experience with C++ and Python
##### **Strongly Desired Experience/Qualifications:**
* Possessing an active Department of Defense SECRET (or higher) security clearance*
* Academic or professional experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts, specifically unit testing
* Experience in and/or knowledge of:
* Ubuntu operating system
* Software requirements and design
* Architecture definition and/or software integration
* Familiarity with software configuration tools such as Bugzilla, Jira, GIT/BIT BUCKET, Clearcase and SVN
* Linux
* Obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves periodic comprehensive background checks. Candidates are eligible for a clearance if they have demonstrated sound financial management (including good credit) over time, are free of criminal records, have limited foreign contacts or ties, and other factors indicative of a position of trust to protect information sensitive to the U.S. Government.
