At Menow we are looking for our first fulltime **backend engineer** to
reinforce our team in New York. This is a full-time, hybrid position ideal for
someone ready to enhance and **scale a social app to millions+ of users**.
Given our early stage (pre-launch), we're seeking an energetic versatile
engineer comfortable contributing to various aspects of our foundations.
**Qualifications**
* Must have a strong interest in social media and the future of interactions.
* Must demonstrate a deep understanding of and strong interest in the Apple ecosystem.
* Must be willing to tackle scaling challenges and around-the-clock support for critical issues.
* Can ship at incredible speed.
* Love of the craft, you genuinely care and put your all into your work.
* Strong technical grasp and ability to tackle complex engineering problems.
* Excellent communication and judgment on task prioritizations.
* Like to interact directly with users.

* Experienced with Our Stack: You are proficient with Typescript, NestJS, TypeORM, Postgres, GraphQL, AWS, and familiar with using the Google Maps Platform.
* Skilled in Distributed Systems: Your experience includes working with distributed systems in a production environment.
* Bonus: Background in Social App Development: You have experience in developing backend systems for social applications.
