As an engineer working on the core platform, your responsibility is to make it
easier to build and maintain data connectors. You will:
* Build platform capabilities that let us connect to more systems. How can we standardize a way to connect to those servers that implement oauth wrong, don’t guarantee data availability, and use a custom binary encoding?
* Handle distributed systems data processing challenges. How do we make sure that our continuous deployments can seamlessly update days-long running jobs in place?
* Spend time learning and optimizing for the nuances of data warehouses and other processing environments. How do we “stream” data changes into snowflake vs postgres vs spark?
* Relentlessly optimize. What’s the best way to apply updates and security patches to hundreds of connectors accessing thousands of resources making millions of HTTP requests and moving billions of records?
