Job Description

Gaiascope, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to work on its Software

sustainable energy assets (e.g. wind, solar, energy storage) manage financial
risk and grow profits through energy market intelligence and participation.
Our hybrid approach to electricity price forecasting combines physics based
grid modeling with hundreds of ML models to generate high value predictions
for clients. Our algorithms have a proven track record of success; our
internally managed fund generated a 66% return in 2022 and within 2 months of
beginning client contracts has generated $1M+ in value for clients. We are
currently focused on scaling our operations after successfully launching our

raised funding from premier Silicon Valley and Wall Street investors.

be highly varied as we are a small team with big plans for growth. Tasks can

orders of magnitude, adding reliability and robustness to our codebase,
finding and fixing critical bugs, and monitoring our systems to make sure they
remain stable and operational. This position will be fast paced and demanding,
requiring the candidate to think critically and creatively about how to
continuously improve our product and operations. This position will work
closely with the CTO and will interface regularly with the Data Science and

* Fluent in Python
* Fluent in GCP, AWS, or Azure (must be willing to work using GCP)
* Highly self-motivated with a desire to work hard
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Familiarity working with big data and different storage backends (object stores, key-value stores, columnar/row-oriented databases, etc)
* Familiarity with ML operations is a plus
