Our Software Engineer- Front End will work directly with The U.S. Department
of Veterans Affairs and Accenture Federal Services Services to modernize and
improve GI Bill claims processing for veterans, service members, and
dependents. As a key member of the team, you'll contribute directly to
impactful digital services transformation that empowers government agencies
and civil servants to better serve the American people by delivering a best-
in-class user experience.

You have a passion for writing clean, maintainable production-ready code and
understanding the software development lifecycle. You are a team player who
knows how to collaborate with many different teams and stakeholders, and
prevent technical bottlenecks. You are a self-starter who never stops
learning new ways to improve their code and help their team perform at its

## **What You’ll Do:**

* Develop user interfaces for complex websites and applications.
* Work closely with UX designers, web developers, and other team members to deliver an overall seamless user experience.
* Convert mockups into cross-browser HTML/CSS/JavaScript templates.
* Work alongside web developers to implement code.
* Test and document new features developed.
* Monitor trends in UI development and advocate technology standards and best practices.
* Understand UI guidelines for relevant operating systems and appropriately adjust interfaces.

## **What You’ll Bring:**

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, specializing in computer science, engineering, or similar technical discipline.
* 5+ years of experience in UI development.
* Strong proficiency with web-related protocols and architectures (REST APIs, HTTP).
* Experience in web, mobile web apps, and PWA (Hybrid web apps like Phonegap/Ionic are a bonus).
* Proven expertise in modern JavaScript programming languages and UI Frameworks such as Iconic, Angular 8+, and Bootstrap.
* Experience submitting pull requests and reviewing/approving pull requests.
* Solid experience implementing automated tests leveraging Karma or Jasmine.
* Hands-on experience with deployment tools like Jenkins and Git.
* Angular integration with Rest Services
* Familiarity with Section 508 compliance for accessibility.
* Must be a U.S. citizen and legally authorized to work in the U.S now and in the future without sponsorship
