**Key Responsibilities:**
* Plan and implement an Android app with parity to the existing iOS app
* Implement REST API endpoint integration with the Android app.
* Collaborate with the team on endpoint structure for new features.
* Work as an SME on mobile-related projects, with the opportunity to own mobile-heavy projects.
* Work closely with our iOS engineer to ensure cross-app parity.
* Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
**Must haves:**
* Experience building and deploying high-quality production Android apps that scale for large audiences
* Proficiency in Kotlin
* Experience building apps from the ground up
* Experience with RESTful API integration
**Nice to haves:**
* Experience publishing apps to the Google Play store
* Familiarity with iOS/Swift (in the capacity of collaboration with our iOS developer)
* Interested in having an impact on Backend development (our backend uses Kotlin)
* Able to work from office in NYC or has the ability to travel to NYC quarterly for our in-person on-site weeks (1 week x 4 times a year)
* Experience with reactive programming, especially RxKotlin

Compensation: $180k - $220k Annually
