**Role Responsibilities:**
* Drive the technical design and roadmap for our frontend technology stack, identifying areas of improvement and implementing modern best practises
* Apply your knowledge of software engineering to develop highly interactive, easily understood user interfaces
* Work closely with product managers and CTO to understand our customers needs and the design decisions of the product
* Optimize our frontend code for performance, scale, accessibility, and device compatibility
* Work closely with backend engineers to define APIs and to build on backend services built for large scale
* Rapidly iterating on the product with our home data collection team to optimize the process of collecting and digitizing home data
* Maintaining a critical eye for design and a great UX/UI
* Guiding the team in making intelligent and pragmatic technical trade-offs
* Becoming an expert on the home inspection and new homeowner move-in process, and building a product that simplifies this transition for millions of new homeowners each year
**Experience Level of a Successful Candidate:**
* 8+ years of experience building web apps
* Excellent knowledge of React
* Proficiency in TypeScript, TailwindCSS, Jest
* Proven experience in product-oriented software development
* Confident designing frontend architecture and passionate about performance
* Experience with micro-frontends, mono repositories
* Proficiency in different types of testing strategies
* The initiative to fix something that's broken, rather than waiting for someone else to do it
* Strong written and spoken communication skills (in English)
