Apply**Senior Node.js Backend Engineer (Contract with Potential to Hire - Fully
Remote)**
We are a fast-growing startup that closed an oversubscribed seed round. Our
mission is to leverage Big Data and cutting edge technology including multiple
LLMs to help the underserved hourly worker market find higher paying jobs. We
have three highly innovative products we are focused on building to scale. We
are dedicated to lean startup and user data driven methodologies to scale our
business.
_This role is for a contractor (10-30 hours per week depending on projects)
with the potential of shifting to full-time employment post Series A raise
(4-6 months away)._
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop high-quality, scalable, and efficient APIs and Microservices using Node.js and related technologies.
* Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
**Requirements:**
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality APIs and Microservices
* Extensive experience (5+ years) in backend development, with a strong focus in Node.js
* Experience with TypeScript (2+ years)
* Experience in NestJS (2+ years)
* Experience with PostgreSQL (2+ years)
* Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and deliver results in an extremely fast-paced startup environment
* Strong communication skills
