Tempo Technologies is a leading innovator of enterprise IoT solutions, with a
focus on RFID, GPS and related technologies. We provide turnkey solutions that
help companies track and manage inventory, assets and people. We help large
and medium-size businesses increase efficiency and reduce costs through
automation and streamlined workflows. We build and maintain all of our
software in-house, with a strong focus on customizable and configurable
solutions.
We are looking for highly motivated software engineers who love to solve
problems. We are a small, dedicated team that works with global manufacturers
and other industrial companies. Our customers include automotive OEMs and tier
suppliers, steel fabricators, medical equipment manufacturers, and others.
**Required experience:**
Full-stack application developer with a minimum of 3 years experience
developing **native Android** applications (not React), and a minimum of 1
year developing Angular web apps. The candidate should be able to demonstrate
solid fundamentals, including multi-threading, full stack application
architecture, database design and git.
**Demonstrated expertise with the following technologies:**
Android SDK, Jetpack, Material Components, Java, RxJava, Retrofit, OkHttp,
NodeJS, TypeScript, Javascript, Angular, RxJs, NestJS, ExpressJS, TypeORM, AWS
Beanstalk, RDS, S3, CloudFront, GIT, Kotlin (optional)
**Education:** BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering

* Problem-solve creatively and efificiently to address a variety of challenging problems
* Adapt to new technologies
* Work both independently and cooperatively as part of a small team
* Communicate ideas, problems and solutions in a clear, concise and professional manner with colleagues, and occasionally with customers
**Desired, but not required:**
* Experience with RFID or other sensor / scanning technologies
* Experience with GPS or other location-based / RTLS technologies
This is a contract position to start. If all goes well, we would like the
successful candidate to join our team in a long-term role.
Must able to work during normal business hours Eastern Time.
**Note:** This role is only for individual software engineers. We do not work
with third party software development firms or staffing companies.
