Priviom, a Techstars company, is seeking our founding lead engineer to work
hand-in-hand with the co-founders and will report to the CEO. You’ll be deep
into hands-on coding day to day while providing leadership to more junior
engineers.
You’ll be a good match if you relish the opportunity to build a greenfield
project that incorporates all that you’ve learned from your past experiences.
There are important decisions to make and code to be written, and that’s where
you come in. We are looking for a technical leader. Our Beta is written in
Bubble (a low code environment). Bubble will suffice as we iterate with our
first customer cohorts, but we will reach a point in the near future when our
product will need to be rebuilt using scalable technologies. You need to be
enthusiastic about being the first Engineer at Priviom and working at the
earliest stage of a startup.
**We want our team members to value their equity in the company and who
consider equity an important part of their compensation. Of course we provide
reasonable cash compensation as well.
This is a full-time permanent remote position.
**Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain the Priviom software product
* Work closely with product managers to deliver high-quality solutions
* Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
* Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback
* Develop and maintain APIs for data integration with third-party systems
* Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies
**Required Experience & Skills
You’ll need this background in order to be successful in the role.
* 5+ years experience building full-stack, scalable web applications
* Proficient in React / TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and AWS
* Experience developing SaaS systems with complexity and scale. We want you to take what you’ve learned and leverage it in a ground-up development effort.
* Experience in an early-phase startup. This doesn’t have to be all or even a large part of your career, but we need someone who has startup DNA.
* Leadership ability. We are looking for an engineer who can not just set direction but can create buy-in and passion along the way. This might evolve into a formal Technical Lead Role.
* Excitement at the prospect of building something from the ground up. Comfortable with helping set the direction for the company, product and technology.
* BS / MS in Computer Science or equivalent
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
**Nice to Have
The more of these the better, but none are required.
* Experience building B2B (Enterprise) applications.
* Experience in hiring and managing a team of developers. Ability to interview, filter, and hire great engineers.
* Proficient with API integrations
* Experience with database design and optimization
* Familiarity with Bubble/Canvas or other low-code environments
