**Description**
We seek a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to develop internal tools and improve
latency across our distributed systems. Altalune is remote-first, primarily
operating in US East Coast time zones. Some travel may be necessary.
**Requirements**
* Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and Salt
* Knowledge of security, bare-metal, and cloud infrastructure
* Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly for performance issues, load-balancing, and RAID
* Proficiency in Rust, Typescript, or Go
* Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or Datadog
* Understanding of cloud provider services (AWS, GCP) for networking and load balancing
* Knowledge of Linux security best practices
**Responsibilities**
* Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automate provisioning of development, staging, and production environments using tools like Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
* Manage virtual network infrastructure through cloud providers, including DNS, firewalls, and load balancing.
* Design and develop software to enhance platform availability, scalability, latency, and performance.
