**Overview:**
Kouper Health is a seed-stage health tech startup backed by top healthcare
investors with extensive health system connectivity. Our mission is to bridge
the care transition gap and fundamentally improve the patient experience to

**The Opportunity:**
As a full stack engineer, you will set the technical direction and design
strategy for early builds of the product. You’ll be an essential part of early
product development iterations to help us develop a highly scalable, efficient
product with great UI/UX. You will own and lead architectural roadmap that
will lay the foundation for the Kouper platform. As we scale, your technical
leadership will be a key factor on supporting and growing our engineering and
product teams. As a full stack engineer, you will directly influence our
culture: you foster collaboration, innovation, empathy, and trust while
leveraging your technical expertise to execute on the product vision.
You need to be both strategic and tactical. You are not afraid to get your
hands dirty and rapidly iterate on prototypes early in your development
lifecycle. We are uniquely positioned to work with several multi-billion
dollar health systems as our anchor customers and positively impact patients’
lives at scale. We need a partner that can help build the platform that will
fundamentally change and improve the way patients experience healthcare after
leaving the hospital.
**Looking back on your first 12 months at Kouper, you will have...**
* Built and led the delivery of the early versions of the Kouper platform across several provider, payor, and patient users
* Influenced new product and feature design while defining a long term technical strategy aligned with industry best practices
* Built a robust and extensible platform architecture that abstracts complex nature of healthcare interoperability into simple(r) microservices
* Partnered with cross-functional teams both internally at Kouper and externally at key health system partners (e.g., Product, Engineering, Sales and IT)
* Deployed HIPAA best practices and ensured that security and patient privacy were top of mind throughout our go-lives and ongoing service to customers
**What you bring to Kouper:**
* 5+ years of fullstack engineering experience
* Early-stage product experience building from 0 to 1, and rebuilding that 1 into
* Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript, RDBMS, ReactJS, Express, Node
* Good sense of system architecture and extensible API design (bonus if you’ve built on FHIR)
* Experience in building visually engaging user interface
* Disciplined approach to design and engineering: Clean Code, TDD, CI/CD
* Experience working with cross-functional and non-technical business stakeholders and partners
* Straddle between the stack and can own the feature across the stack, from design, implementation to deployment
* Startup experience and/or agency experience (bonus if in healthcare) A portfolio of projects where you led engineering efforts
