Position: Sr. Founding Backend Developer

cybersecurity industry. We are revolutionizing cybersecurity integrations
through our unified data API. We provide access to a wide range of security
data delivered through our API and SDK, enabling customers to easily create
powerful security applications and automations backed by our data models. Our
tech stack mainly centers around Python, Data tooling (Arrow, DuckDB, etc)
PostgreSQL, and RESTful APIs.
The company is backed by 11.2 Capital, Preface Ventures, Inner Loop Capital
and founders/senior leaders from Netflix, Cisco, Atlassian, Datadog, Box,
Dropbox, Zoom, Resourcely, Socket, Endor Labs among others.
**Role and Responsibilities:**
* As a Sr. Backend Developer at Leen Security, you will:
* Collaborate with the CTO and senior software architect to design, develop, and maintain integrations, data pipelines, and data models
* Write high-quality, scalable Python code
* Design and implement efficient data pipelines
* Design and develop RESTful API endpoints
* Proactively be involved in the product development and management of Leen & its engineers
* Help define the culture and DNA of the company and be involved in future hiring decisions
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* 8+ years of experience as a backend or full stack engineer
* Proficiency in Python programming
* Familiarity with PostgreSQL and RESTful APIs
* Strong understanding of data modeling and database design
* Experience building data pipelines
* Experience in cybersecurity or related domains is a plus

**Our Interview process**
Leen’s interview process is designed to respect your time while giving you the
opportunity to showcase your skills and unique personality. Our process
consists generally consists of (but a few steps can be waived for the right
candidate(s) with more experience):
1. **Initial call with one of the founders:** We use this call to learn more about yourself and experiences, along with telling you more about Leen and our team.
2. **Asynchronous technical screen:** An online coding exercise is used to showcase parts of your technical skills and abilities. This technical screen is intended to be completed in 30-60 minutes
3. **Additional Interviews In-person (San Francisco, if local) or remote:**
* A collaborative technical interview that represents working on a small problem/feature you would implement in your day to day at Leen.
* A systems design interview to better understand how you work through problems and leverage technology
* Product interview, this goes through the initial lifecycle of discussing and designing a product feature
* We intend for these interviews to take 3-4 hours and can be scheduled over a 2 day period if preferred
4. **Meet the team and founders:** Our last round consists of a conversation with other Leen team members and all founders. We use this opportunity to answer any questions you may have and talk about our culture as company
**Salary range** : $120,000-$200,000K
