### Responsibilities
* Design and Implement: Architect, design, and implement scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs that are critical to our platform’s success.
* Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to translate requirements into efficient, secure, and maintainable backend solutions.
* Mentorship: Lead by example by mentoring junior engineers, conducting thorough code reviews, and ensuring adherence to best practices in coding and software architecture.
* Cloud Deployment: Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring they meet high standards for availability, reliability, and security.
* Integrations: Develop seamless integrations with third-party services and APIs, ensuring data flows smoothly and securely between systems.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending tools and practices that enhance the team's productivity and the platform's capabilities.
### Requirements
* Extensive Experience: 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Python.
* API Development: 5+ years of experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs, with a deep understanding of API design principles and best practices.
* Web Frameworks: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
* AWS Expertise: 3+ years of experience deploying to and building on AWS cloud, including experience with services like EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS.
* Collaboration: Strong ability to work in a collaborative, remote team environment, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
### Nice to Have
* Database Management: 3+ years of experience working with PostgreSQL, including database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
* Domain Expertise: 2+ years of experience in fintech or other complex business domains, with a deep understanding of these industries' specific challenges.
* Frontend Experience: 2+ years of experience with frontend frameworks like Vue or React, with the ability to contribute to full-stack development when needed.
* DevOps and CI/CD: Experience with containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
