**The Role**
Brandlive is looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee the team that owns
one of our market-leading virtual event products. This leader will not only
help scale and grow our product technically, but the team as well. We are
looking for teammates that thrive in a startup, fast paced environment, where
we default to trust, embrace feedback and disrupt ourselves.
**Responsibilities**
* Lead and mentor a team of engineers, responsible for their output, technical decisions, career development, and priorities.
* Be a thoughtful technical voice and support your team in making diligent architectural decisions.
* Work closely with other engineering leaders, project managers,, and product management to deliver against the roadmap.
* Responsible for the on-time, high quality features developed by the team, using scope and creative problem-solving to find the best paths to delivery.
* Continuously measure and improve against the team’s KPIs, ensuring the team doesn’t simply deliver, but grows.
* Work with our talent organization to source and hire amazing engineers who will expand the Brandlive culture and product.
**Qualifications**
* You lead, inspire, collaborate, make tough decisions, and get things done within high growth SaaS software companies.
* You know what high quality code and software engineering processes look like and know how to foster an environment that creates them.
* You have the ability to do both long term thinking and short term planning.
* You have a deep understanding of TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS
* You develop and lead high-performing sprint teams using Agile, while driving improvements in velocity, quality, and timelines.
* You have expertise in developing applications, instrumentation, and tooling to drive success and continuous improvements for your teams.
* You are a strong project leader driving quality work all while finding creative solutions to problems.
* You love people and people love working for you.
* You are execution focused with an ability to navigate ambiguity.
