Requirements:
Education: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or
a closely related field.
Experience: 2 years of embedded system engineer experience.
Qualifying experience must include 2 years in each of the following:
•Hands-on software platform development, debugging, board bring-up and
validation;
•Programming in C/C++, and scripting language(s) such as Python and/or Bash;
•Developing SOC based systems and low-level software;
•Hands-on experience with protocols, such as Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C, and/or
UART;
•Software development projects featuring security by design, static code
analysis, upstream patching and CVE mitigation; and,
•Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools, including digital logic
analyzers, and oscilloscopes
Job Duties:
* Working with the rest of the team in an agile environment to analyze, design, develop, and deploy features to meet business, product, and technical requirements.
* Developing firmware for a robust, low overhead communication network.
* Developing firmware to integrate Reach’s wireless power system into existing applications and technologies.
* Identifying areas of need; contributing to product innovation in hardware and software.
* Writing drivers and frameworks to support new hardware development and testing.
* Developing tools and writing documentation to allow hardware and software team members to independently interface with the firmware.
* Collaborating with hardware and software team members to enable smooth system integration.
* Evaluating, selecting and implementing new technologies and platforms to improve system reliability, power consumption, and performance.
* Ensure the boundaries between Reach software and hardware are reliable, efficient, and secure.
* Conduct research to improve the performance and flexibility of our technology.
