**About the Role**
We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and collaborative Senior Software
Engineer to join our technology team! We are open to local Minneapolis,
Minnesota or Birmingham, Alabama based candidates and candidates based out of
state, but within the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship. You will
be responsible for building software features, from inception through delivery
to production. In this position, you will have a direct impact on our success
by helping to build the tools that get the right message to the right person
at the right time to help people take action to improve their health and
wellbeing.

* Lead small team of engineers to design and build service templates and cloud-based business domain services for Icario Health Platform
* Own technology roadmap for specific business domain services
* Connect with other technical members across Icario to ensure you are using existing technologies where possible and that we are collaborating with their systems appropriately
* Evangelize and drive adoption of the new platform to meet business goals
* Introduce tools to facilitate greater automation and operability of platform services

**What We 'll Love About You**

* BS/CS, MS/CS or equivalent
* 6+ years of experience building robust services at scale. Build and maintain high volume / low latency mission critical services
* Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures and their real-world use cases
* Experience with distributed systems, databases, and streaming frameworks
* Experience building and shipping services around Kubernetes, Cloud Native, and Cloud Service Providers. Experience collaborating with teams to write software to support cloud services.
* Experience with backend systems and software engineering. Programming experience in Java or other JVM-based languages
* Understanding of standard approaches to software engineering, software architecture, and design. Ability to document software and services. Break down projects into practical tasks.
