Job Description

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will take a lead role in
developing the growth of the Polkadot ecosystem: identifying emerging
opportunities, creating and managing the deal flow, and formulating market
entry and growth strategies.

**Qualifications**

* 5+ years of experience in technology sales, business development, or partnership relations, with 2+ years in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, or fintech industry

* Strong familiarity with the blockchain and crypto market

* A robust network, particularly in Latin America, demonstrated by previous successful market entries, establishment of significant partnerships, or collaboration in the region.

* Proven ability to navigate and adapt to different cultural business environments, showing a history of successful negotiations and relationship-building across diverse international markets.

* Deep involvement and expertise in the DeFi space are highly desirable. Ideal candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of DeFi trends, products, and protocols, and have a history of either contributing to significant DeFi projects or leading initiatives in this domain.

* Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring sales or BD teams. This includes experience in setting team goals, developing team members’ skills, and driving a team towards achieving business targets.

* Experience in sales funnel management and optimization, with a demonstrated ability to design and implement effective strategies for lead generation, nurturing, conversion, and analysis of sales processes.

* Exceptional sales and networking capabilities, with a proven track record of pursuing and closing deals.

* Strong understanding of the blockchain and DeFi sectors, capable of clearly communicating complex concepts.

* A proactive and strategic thinker, able to identify and leverage new opportunities in the evolving web3 landscape.

* Proficient in sales team management, demonstrating the ability to lead, motivate, and drive a sales team towards achieving key business targets

* Ability to concisely report on business development initiatives and progress

* Strong people management skills, including mentorship, performance assessment, and development of team members, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
