**Responsibilities**
As an important part of our engineering team, your primary mission is to move
forward all aspects of backend development with a focus on creating an
effective, scalable software architecture. You'll be designing, maintaining,
and enhancing state-of-the-art software. You'll consider technical questions
and issues, ranging from engineering, data science, business intelligence,
DevOps, to marketing technology, and beyond. Delivering best-in-class code
that inspires other team members and raises the bar for quality.
**Experience**
The following experiences will likely be helpful to succeed in this role:
Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, 3 years of experience
as a software engineer, with a proven track record of excellence.
Comprehensive technical experience with systems, databases, APIs, profiling,
DevOps, deployments, testing, and more. Extensive experience with Python,
Django and JavaScript. Experience with mobile app development for iOS and
Android is a plus.
**Location**
HYLL is Swiss startup with its HQ in Bern, Switzerland. As a remote-first
company, we value flexibility and empower our team members to work from any
location. However, we also believe in the power of in-person collaboration and
gather the team regularly (every other month) at various locations across
Europe. We offer desks in Bern, Switzerland and Berlin, Germany.
