Job Title: Senior Developer - Python
Reporting to: Chief Technology Officer
Location: Global
Reporting to the CTO, the Senior Python Developer will take charge of various
python development projects to assist in building out our billing, monitoring
and alerting, automation and business logic systems.
Most of our projects are still in the concept stage so you will have the
ability to make architectural decisions about how the project is put together,
what frameworks we use and really influence the outcome of the product(s). You
will have experience in working on complex API driven projects in a senior or
team lead role.
As we are a fast-growing company you will also be able to work well in a
dynamic and fast-growing team with the ability to mentor juniors, perform code
reviews and collaborate with stakeholders.
What You'll Have:
We're looking for someone with a general interest in technology and problem-
solving; someone diligent and thoughtful. It would be helpful to have
experience/expertise in the following (in rough priority order):
• AGILE way of working including assisting the team with taking a requirement
and breaking it down into individual tasks
• Extensive experience with Python development, specifically with Flask &
SQLAlachemy
• Designing and building REST APIs
• Writing robust and fault-tolerant software
• MySQL \ MariaDB \ SQLAlchemy
• Technical documentation writing including using Swagger or ReDoc
Plus experience in the following would be a bonus:
• Strong unit, integration, API and end-user automation testing experience,
including TDD.
• Automated testing of Flask API’s
• CI Pipeline development
• Python application deployment at scale using Docker
