We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing sales professional with
experience selling to conference organizers and/or corporate event marketing
teams.
The ideal candidate has a history of direct sales, while regularly exceeding
their sales quota. This candidate should also have experience driving a self-
sourced pipeline, thriving in a team selling environment on enterprise level
deals and the ability to forecast their business consistently and accurately.

**Responsibilities:**
* Find, qualify, and build a sales pipeline through a measured approach in volume necessary to achieve quota
* Manage pipeline appropriately to maximize stage conversions and likelihood of winning, leveraging MEDDICC sales qualification methodology
* Partner across the GTM team (Account Management & Customer Success) to optimize the customer lifecycle; driving a high level of customer retention and uncovering expansion opportunities within your book of business
* Develop expertise in the event industry by identifying trends, market challenges and competitive offerings Become an expert in the Sessionboard suite of tools to deliver a consultative and value based sales pitch to position Sessionboard as a strategic partner for prospective organizations
* Skillfully deliver web based presentations
* Nurture relationships with prospects and industry contacts through conference attendance and facilitation of local/regional networking events
* Consistently exceed your monthly, quarterly and annual sales and net new pipeline quota
* Maintain an accurate monthly and quarterly forecast
* Regularly attend Industry Conferences and strategic in-person meetings
**What You Bring:**
* 5+ years of B2B sales or relevant experience selling to conferences or event marketing teams across all stages of the sales cycle
* An appetite for both an outbound pipeline generation and demand generation activity as well as the ability to focus on the long term growth opportunities within a prospect’s organization .
* Excellent active listening, verbal, written and presentation skills Comfort in selling to a range of personas, navigating multiple decision makers in complex organizations to create a compelling case to buy Experience working in a fast paced and evolving environment
* Empathy for co-workers, prospects and clients
* A collaborative/win together mindset
* Skilled in CRM use (preferably Hubspot)
**What would be great to have (preferred):**
* Total of 5+ years of relevant industry experience in event industry software sales and/or a background managing large conferences.
* Bachelor’s Degree
* Training on Sandler, Challenger Sale, or any other solution based selling methodologies
