**Overview**
This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing SaaS startup in the
risk management AI space. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief
Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and operations. The
ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar leadership role,
preferably within a startup environment. This role requires a blend of
technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills to drive
our company’s technology vision and growth.
**Responsibilities**
_Develop and Implement Technology Strategy:_
\- Create and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with our
business goals and supports long-term growth.
\- Evaluate and implement new technologies to gain a competitive advantage and
enhance efficiency.
_Oversee Product Development:_
\- Lead the engineering team in the development and deployment of high-quality
software products.
\- Ensure that all products meet customer requirements and industry standards.
_Technical Leadership and Team Management:_
\- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing technical team.
\- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration
within the team.
_Data Management and Security:_
\- Oversee data collection, storage, and analysis processes to ensure data
privacy and security.
\- Regularly work with customers to inform direction and overall technology
strategy.
\- Use data-driven insights to inform business decisions and technology
improvements.
_Partnership and Relationship Management:_
\- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders,
including suppliers, technology vendors, and customers.
\- Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors effectively.
_Budget Management:_
\- Manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
\- Monitor KPIs and financial metrics to assess and improve technological
performance.
**Required skills and qualifications**
* A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience as a technology officer or in a similar senior technology leadership role. Strong preference for startup experience.
* Demonstrated success in managing IT infrastructure, IT budgets, software development and systems architecture.
* Deep understanding of technology trends, best practices and the SaaS technology landscape.
* Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity best practices.
* Experience driving digital transformation initiatives, leveraging cloud technologies, and implementing data-driven decision-making.
* Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into effective technology strategies.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing technology teams.
* Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale technology projects, delivering results on time and within budget.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights for informed decision-making.
* Demonstrated experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
**Preferred skills and qualifications:**
* A master’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
* Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, AWS and/or CISSP.
* Ability to think tactically and translate business objectives into technology initiatives.
* Proficient in risk mitigation and data security of digital assets.
* Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
* Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies for software development/ delivery.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
* Proven ability to navigate complex technology landscapes and align technology initiatives with business objectives.
