Recess can access features over ten different SaaS companies would otherwise
provide.

You'll be building a wide range of features, tuning them, helping your
teammates perform better, running performance analysis, designing

**What we 're looking for**
We are looking for a senior backend engineer comfortable going up and down the
stack in a small, high-performing team. If you are passionate about

You must have:
* 4+ years of full-time engineering experience in teams of 4+ engineers
* excellent communication skills (English B2 or above)
* expertise in building safe and fault-tolerant backends working at scale
* expertise in building micro-services in Typescript/Node.js, Java, Scala, C++ or Rust (we are using Rust moving forward)
* expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries on huge databases
Ideally, you also have
* experience implementing and working with CI, monitoring, and container tools (such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
* experience building enterprise software in Rust
* experience with frontend technologies
* experience in TDD
**Who you 'll join**
The team consists of myself (CTO) and two exceptional full-stack engineers. We
will remain small for the foreseeable future as we are laser-focused on
sustainable growth.
We have been fully remote since the beginning and expertly work across
multiple timezones, from GMT+1 (Paris) to PST. On average, there are three
hours of meetings per week, and the sessions are scheduled between 6 AM PST
and 10 AM PST; team meetings are earlier, and company meetings are later.
Outside of those hours, time is flexible.
We run a tight ship and expect everyone to continuously improve and excel at
what they do. We openly provide feedback to one another with the highest care
and respect.
