**Summary**
Aphid is a technology startup in the AI and blockchain space. We are looking
for a talented and experienced CTO to lead our technical team and help us
achieve our ambitious goals.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AI(ML/DL), and
blockchain technologies, as well as experience in building and scaling
technology products and services. You will also be a strong leader and
communicator, and you will be able to effectively work with cross-functional
teams to bring our products to market.
Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We
expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with
a variety of business concepts. If you are also an excellent communicator and
public speaker, we’d like to meet you.
**Responsibilities**
* Set the technical direction for the company and develop a strategic plan to achieve our goals.
* Identify and evaluate new technologies that can be used to improve our products and services.
* Design and implement our technical architecture and infrastructure.
* Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers and other technical professionals.
* Collaborate with the CEO and other members of the executive team to ensure that our technical strategy is aligned with our business goals.
* Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage.
* Help departments use technology profitably.
* Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency.
* Build quality assurance and data protection processes.
* Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance.
* Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology.
* Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors.
* Supervise and or implement third party cybersecurity processes.
**Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of experience in a senior technical role, preferably in the AI and blockchain space.
* Strong understanding of AI and blockchain technologies.
* Experience in building and scaling technology products.
* Experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning model training and deployment.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Experience with open source software development.
* Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
* Experience with DevOps practices.
* Experience with agile development methodologies.
* Experience with Python, Django.
* Experience with React, React Native.
* Experience with Kubernetes.
* Experience with Tensorflow, Keras, and Google Cloud
