apartment networks.
Large institutions own tens-of-millions of rental units in America, yet the
residents who live in them have little knowledge of the benefits of the vast
portfolio in which they live. Our mission is to build rental networks that
unlock the value in enduring residential relationships.
Our founding team includes veterans of prominent real estate technology
companies (Compass, Jetty, Updater, RentPath) that have successfully launched
and scaled businesses backed by Ribbit, Khosla, Founders Fund, TPG and
prominent real estate firms. They have lead national partnerships with the
largest operators of multifamily real estate including Greystar, Blackstone,
Related, Cortland and, at their most recent startup, scaled from 0 to 2M+
apartment units on their platform in 3 years.
We are developing our product alongside the largest institutional real estate
firms in the country. We are a remote-first team, and we've raised $8M+ seed
financing from institutional investors and 20 founders and operators in the
fintech and real estate tech ecosystem.
### About the Role
As Renew’s Solutions Engineer, you will own the technical configuration and
implementation work that enables our Real Estate customers and their residents
to successfully use our platform. This is a high impact role that will work
cross functionality with all departments of our company.
You will work closely with our Real Estate operations team to help guide our
customers through technical discovery, integration, configuration, onboarding
and expansion on our platform. You will find and resolve technical issues
throughout the customer lifecycle, establish and update technical tools and
processes and scale your impact through the software and automation that you
build.
This role is remote first and reports to Renew’s VP of Engineering.
### Qualifications
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
* Previous experiencing managing projects in a professional environment. Ability to track and communicate project status and timelines with multiple stakeholders.
* Proficiency with SQL. Ability to understand a data model and construct new queries to answer questions. Prior PostgreSQL experience a plus.
* Prior experience working with Excel and/or Google Sheets. Ability to import and export data, use formulas, format data and build cross sheet lookups.
* An understanding of technical architecture and web application concepts (ex: databases, APIs), and the ability to discuss technical topics with non-technical stakeholders.
* At least 1 year of prior experience working with a scripting language such as Python, Ruby or NodeJS
* Prior experience working with web application development, using a modern framework like Rails or Django, is a plus.
### What You’ll Do
* Own the technical work required to onboard customers to Renew’s platform. Day to day work will involve database configuration, writing data parsing scripts and updating integration pipelines, SaaS account setup, and managing, validating and cleaning customer data.
* Build internal tools (ex: apps, scripts and internal features) to streamline and automate our onboarding processes, and to support live partners and internal teams
* Become an expert in our platform and tools, including Renew’s application features, customer customization options, SaaS accounts, internal tools, and partner API details.
* Document configuration and customization decisions throughout the onboarding process.
* Work with Product, Engineering and Real Estate Ops teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the customer lifecycle.
