### Mission
Valory creates open-source software for co-owned AI, enabling joint operation
and control of AI software for novel use cases in crypto, science, and
enterprise. Our mission is to empower communities, organizations, and
countries to co-own AI systems, starting with decentralized autonomous agents.
### Products
We co-founded Olas DAO and have created the first services using it and the
Olas Stack.
We have also built a hosted platform for removing DevOps hassle from running
said services: Propel.
### Team
Valory is the VC-backed team of engineers, researchers and commercial
executors that raised a successful Seed round and executed a successful public
token launch for the Olas DAO.
### The Role
You’re a highly skilled and motivated DevRel with proven experience who is
aligned with our values.
You will play a pivotal role in Valory’s work to help developers contribute
useful code (or even Protocol-owned Services) to the rapidly expanding Olas
ecosystem, where they are rewarded by its unique developer reward mechanisms
growing (code, capital) in tandem. You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience
in developer relations. You enjoy approaching new challenges in a structured
way to ship solutions quickly and efficiently, pushing the autonomous edge.
### Main Duties
* Advance our Autonomous AI Agent development, including designing, developing, and augmenting agents with machine learning algorithms, LLMs and other models.
* Investigating and building POCs with open-source LLMs, including fine-tuning.
* Rapidly prototype and experiment with new machine learning ideas and concepts. Evaluate the feasibility and performance of various algorithms and models, iterating based on results to deliver timely results to customers.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to deliver machine learning additions to Valory’s products.
* Document your work thoroughly, including algorithms, experiments, and results, reporting proactively on your findings.
* Provide feedback, mentor and support fellow team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
* Participate in Agile development workflow.
* Creatively ideate, inspired (but not shackled) by industry trends. ### Requirements
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning engineering.
* Alignment with our values, including mission over ego, clarity through writing and pushing the autonomous edge.
* Experience experimenting, providing rapid prototyping of proof-of-concepts and willingness to acquire new programming skills and concepts.
* Experience with either TensorFlow or PyTorch and higher-level APIs like Keras.
* Good understanding of deep learning architectures, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning.
* Solid mathematical foundation in statistics, linear algebra, and calculus.
* Experience with testing (unit, integration, end to end), experimentation and CI/CD.
* Programming on a daily basis in Python.
* Sound knowledge and demonstrable experience of best practices Python (e.g. linting, auto-formatting, static analysis, etc.).
* Bonus: Experience working with open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) and fine-tuning.
* Bonus: Open-source and/or Web3 contributions.
* Bonus: Familiarity with plotting libraries, e.g. matplotlib, d3.js, and other productivity tools like Jupyter Notebooks.
* Bonus: Experience with systems languages like Golang, C/C++, Rust.
* Strong preference for time zone between UTC -2 to UTC +6.
