### WHAT YOU WILL DO
Our Machine Learning Engineer will play an integral role in the development
and progression of our state of the art technologies. You will come up with
solutions to help solve some of the toughest computer vision problems society
faces.
General tasks may include but are not limited to:
* Design, build, deploy, and improve machine learning, deep learning and computer vision algorithms to analyze video and biosignal data and generate functional metrics
* Train, validate, and optimize models using large datasets, ensuring high performance and generalization.
* Guide project directions and research and development efforts Contributing to high impact publications and patents # WHO YOU ARE You are a self-driven and passionate individual who enjoys teamwork, innovation, and the fast paced environment of a startup. To succeed within this role, you have experience in the following areas:
Minimum Qualifications
* MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a closely related field.
* 5+ years of demonstrated experience developing/implementing Machine
* Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence algorithms in computer vision solutions
* Expert in Python
* Experience analyzing time varying signals, including robust feature extraction and classification
* Experience building custom deep learning architectures for inference from video with 3D CNNs and/or RNNs
* Experience building custom deep learning architectures for inference from multiple time varying signals
* Ability to dynamically collaborate in a small team setting
* Ability to brief and report results to peers as well as stakeholders
* Expert in using Tensorflow or PyTorch.
* Experience with other Machine Learning models including decision trees (ect. XGBoost, LightGBM)
_Must be a US citizen or Green Card Holder_
Highly Desirable
* Deploying models at the edge/mobile in C++, Java, Javascript, Objective C
* Experience with hyperspectral imaging and/or time varying video analysis
* Experience combining multimodal imaging signals
* Strong background in statistics
* Rapid code prototyping skills
* Masters or PhD with thesis pertaining to imaging systems and/or computer vision
While this position is primarily remote, we are giving strong preference to
candidates located in Herndon, VA, St.Louis, MO, and San Francisco, Bay Area,
CA, as this allows us to provide in-person support when necessary, leveraging
the presence of our team members in the region.
