We are looking for a talented Lead Python Developer to join our dynamic team
at OpenTensor. The ideal candidate with have significant experience will
possess a deep understanding of backend technologies and a passion for open-
source development.
Responsibilities:
* Design and implement robust backend services, focusing on high availability, low latency, and scalability.
* Develop and maintain asynchronous programming models using threading, greenlets, gevent, aiohttp, async & await, and twisted.
* Engage in the entire lifecycle of services, from design to coding, testing, and deployment.
* Create and manage web and API services using REST APIs and RPCs.
* Build and maintain crawlers, scrapers, and bots to support data aggregation and analysis.
* Contribute to the development of artificial intelligence models and integrate AI technologies into backend systems.
* Work on GUI development to ensure seamless integration with backend systems.
* Implement and optimize search systems, filesystems, schedulers, plugins, and metaclasses.
* Design self-healing and failure-tolerant systems to ensure service reliability and resilience.
* Actively contribute to open-source projects and engage with the open-source community to drive innovation.
Qualifications:
* 3-5+ years prior experience as a Team Lead on a back end software engineering team.
* Extensive experience in backend development, with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating expertise in the required technical areas.
* Proficiency in asynchronous programming, networking, and the development of GUIs.
* Deep understanding of REST APIs and RPCs.
* Experience with crawlers, scrapers, and bots.
* Knowledge of search systems, filesystems, schedulers, plugins, and metaclasses.
* Proven ability to build self-healing and failure-tolerant systems.
* Experience with scaling applications and knowledge of best practices for optimizing performance.
* Passion for open-source development and a history of contributing to open-source projects.
