We are looking for an innovative, experienced iOS Developer to lead the
development of our
mobile navigation app. You should deeply understand the navigation space and
collaborate with
us to craft new features that meet evolving market needs. Proactive problem-
solving and a
proven track record in iOS development are essential.
**What you will do:**
* Make our app lightning fast: Fix performance issues and keep the app running
* smoothly.
* Tackle problems head-on: Identify roadblocks and implement solutions to keep development flowing.
* Spot issues before they appear: Proactively find ways to improve the app's performance and user experience.
* Keep our code modern: Use best practices and the latest tools (like Swift) to ensure our code works seamlessly with the newest iOS features.
* Strive to understand our users: Their pain points, needs, and the unique challenges that come with working in the field
* Bridge the gap between design and development: Collaborate with designers to transform their ideas into efficient and user-friendly app features.
* Champion offline functionality: Build features that work even without an internet connection, especially for handling large datasets and location data.
* Automate the process: Set up systems to automate testing and release of app updates.
* Write rock-solid tests: Create comprehensive test plans to guarantee our app is high quality and bug-free.
* Great attention to detail: A keen eye is essential! You'll ensure that nothing is missed, all design elements are properly implemented, and all edge cases and dependencies are considered and accounted for, delivering a polished and dependable app.
* Teamwork: Collaborate with a team of mobile developers, back-end developers, QA engineers, designers, project managers, and product owners. This is a collaborative environment, and your communication and teamwork skills will be key to success.
**Required Technical Skills**
* Swift Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of Swift and Objective-C.
* SQLite & Core Data Proficiency: Extensive experience working with and optimizing SQLite and Core Data.
* GPS, Mapping and Location Services: Experience integrating GPS, mapping and location services in mobile apps (big plus for experience building navigation features.)
* GraphQL (Optional): Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
* Subscription Management (Optional): Experience developing features for an app utilizing app store subscriptions is a plus.
**Required Education and Experience**
* Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field that emphasizes software development.
* Senior-Level Experience: 5+ years of experience as a senior iOS developer building high-quality, enterprise-grade applications.
* Language Proficiency: Proficient in English for effective communication and collaboration within the team.
