THE COMPANY
SubSuite.io is SaaS "Better than Bundling" platform that allows subscription
brands to offer consumers customized pricing based on how much they already
spend on other services. The patent pending tech delivers marketing and
retention solutions that allows brands to maximize profits and their
subscribers to buy, save and manage all of their subscriptions in one place.

THE ROLE
You will be working hand in hand with the CEO to perfect the product, build
cool new features, improve the design, function and security while
contemplating and planning for V2 which will be built on a new platform /
stack. Our current product was (is) built by an agency and you will be taking
the reins from here on out. For now, you will be helping us to scale our
proprietary technology which is built on a CMS with a proprietary backend
component that operates all important functionality. It’s LAMP stack with all
newer front-end tech at your disposal. You need something else? Let us know!
You are the tech lead after all. This is a part time role to start with the
goal of switching to full time in the next 3 – 6 months as we grow. You will
be a technology leader with a hefty equity stake and a say in how build and
grow from here.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Review the current product and get familiar with the inner workings of the
proprietary components.
• Implement cool new features already designed and ready to go.
• Upgrade any inefficient and / or clunky or just plain broken code.
• Improve the user experience both from a design and functionality
perspective.
• Develop an API and improve upon other 3rd party integrations (Stripe and
others).
• Develop testing and scaling capabilities.
• Make suggestions to further implement new features, improve functionality /
scalability, secure the site and more.
• Take the platform from basic to premium, able to be used by millions of
consumers and hundreds of digital service providers.
• Recommend the best course of action for SubSuite 2.0.
• Work with marketing, sales, and the CEO to develop the best product for our
providers.
• Integrate our backend solution with tons of 3rd part apps and digital
provider tools.
• Assist with continued build out of the rest of the tech team.
WHO YOU ARE:
• A solid PHP developer with good enough front-end skills to make improvements
to the look and feel.
• You are comfortable working on our CMS but happy to get us onto something
better.
• You are looking to be a huge piece in developing a revolutionary tool for a
booming market.
• You are a great communicator with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• You’re a big picture kind of person, willing to be a part of a startup from
the ground up, risking some time and energy in the early days to reap rewards
beyond what’s achievable elsewhere down the road.
• You have 10+ hours a week to dedicate to the role for now, with the ability
and desire to jump fully on board as we grow.
• Preferably you’ve worked in a startup, remote environment in the past, see
the value in what we’re building and are eager to get involved with a winning
concept.
