### Overview

The Head of Tech at eeva will be a key architect in shaping the technological
landscape of our life management platform. This senior role involves setting
the technical direction, evaluating new technologies, and ensuring the
robustness and efficiency of our technical architecture. You will collaborate
closely with the Chief Product Officer and CEO to align our technical strategy
with business goals, lead our AI/ML initiatives, and oversee quality
assurance, data protection, and cybersecurity processes. Your leadership will
drive technological innovation, enabling us to maintain a competitive edge and
deliver exceptional products and services.

### Responsibilities

* Set the technical direction for the product and collaborate with the Chief Product Officer on the strategic plan to achieve our goals.
* Identify and evaluate new technologies that can be used to improve our products and services.
* Supervise our technical architecture and infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency.
* Lead our AI/ML strategy, including working with external organizations on collaborative projects.
* Collaborate with the CEO and other members of the executive team to ensure that our technical strategy is aligned with our business goals.
* Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage.
* Help departments use technology profitably.
* Build quality assurance and data protection processes.
* Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance.
* Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology.
* Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors.
* Supervise and or implement cybersecurity processes.

### Required Qualifications

* Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of experience in a senior technical role, preferably in the AI and software engineering space.
* Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, and experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning model training and deployment.
* Experience in building and scaling technology products.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively with remote, cross-functional teams.
* Experience with cloud computing platforms such Azure.
* Experience with DevOps practices.
* Experience with agile development methodologies.
* Experience with React, React Native.
