### Overview
Castle is a profitable Series A startup building a future where everyone can
interact online with trust, safety, and peace of mind. We empower platforms
like Canva, Atlassian, and Rockstar Games to combat fraud, abuse, and
malicious activity - protecting their users and communities. We're backed by Y
Combinator, Index Ventures, as well as prominent angel investors from Datadog,
Stripe, and New Relic.
As the first marketing role at Castle, you will define and build out the
marketing function. You'll use your strategic vision to convey our product
innovation story paired with hands-on abilities to rapidly experiment and
drive pipeline.
This hybrid role needs you in our new NYC (Williamsburg) location 2 days each
week, where you'll be working closely with the founding CEO and the customer-
facing team.
### Responsibilities
* Become an expert on our product, market landscape, and core customers
* Establish positioning and messaging that conveys our differentiation
* Create compelling content across multiple formats and channels
* Identify and execute high-impact campaigns and programs
* Enable sales teams with collateral, tools, and training needed to drive growth
* Scale areas of highest ROI through combination of in-house team and agencies
* Develop processes to measure activities tied to pipeline and revenue
* Mentor and develop marketers on the team for greater impact
* Eventually guide overall marketing vision, strategy and budget allocation
### Qualifications
* A startup mindset – flexibility, agility, and adaptability. We value work/life balance and strive to limit work-in-progress, but you should be ready to pivot between different areas of focus as needed.
* 5+ years experience in B2B marketing, blended backgrounds welcomed
* Leadership indicators - initiative, strategic thinking, creative problem solving
* Technical aptitude with ability to deeply understand products and markets
* Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation abilities
* Data-driven mindset with focus on impact and continuous improvement
* Experience in high-growth companies, comfort with ambiguity
