At Criya, my mission is to empower top professionals to build a powerful
personal brand, enabling them to monetize their expertise, share content &
build a powerful community, with an all-in-1 platform.

**We’re looking to hire our first marketer**. You will work closely with our
founder and CEO to build our marketing strategy and execute it. As the first
marketer, you will own all aspects of marketing to help us grow faster with
our creator community. We are building a product and community for business
professionals to monetize their expertise. We have hundreds of creators on our
platform and are looking to scale up. We see content as a big driver of growth
for us and are looking for a generalist marketer who can help us set a
marketing strategy centered around content and our community. You should be
hyper organized, have experience with a high velocity, self-serve business
model, and have a high bar for value add content.

### Responsibilities

* Marketing strategy: Set goals, plan, and prioritize across all areas of marketing.
* Marketing team management & hiring: Manage the current marketing team, plan for future hiring (including contractors), and hire marketers that are passionate about driving growth and telling our story.
* Execute marketing plans: Do the work to support the team and our goals.
* Cross-functional leader: Collaborate on strategy across the company, be the voice of the customer, provide the marketing perspective, and serve as the liaison between product and GTM functions.
* Ability to build out the marketing function: We do not have all of our tools, processes, and workflows built out yet. You will need to help build this out, figure out what works, and test and scale.
* Product Marketing: Gain a deep understanding of our audience, develop our positioning and messaging, and communicate about the product and its benefits to our audience.
* Growth Marketing: Launch, track, and optimize programs/campaigns across multiple channels to move prospects and customers down the funnel.
* Content Marketing: Own the content calendar and tell the story of our brand and company in order to engage prospects, customers, candidates, and partners.
* Community: You can help us build a thriving community and design programs to help us engage our community members to drive growth and engagement.
* Brand: Collaborate on the company story and vision with the founder and make sure our communications add value to our audience and maintain a high-quality bar.
* KPIs: Manage the marketing budget, ensure we are operating efficiently, and meeting metrics goals.
* Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in marketing, including at SaaS companies with a self-serve/freemium business model.
* Experience hiring marketers & contractors and managing them effectively.
* Breadth in all areas of marketing, depth in content marketing and growth marketing
* High quality bar. You've developed marketing strategies and tactics that put the customer first and understand to hit revenue and growth goals at the same time.
* Scrappiness and experimentation mindset. You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves since we are still an early-stage company.
* You know how to balance short-term goals and long-term goals.
* You have recommendations for tools, contractors, etc to build out the foundation of a marketing team that can scale effectively.

### About the interview

Our interview process is an opportunity to explore a fit both ways. We will
spend time to learn more about your background, go deeper into your area of
expertise. If this goes well, we will discuss a take-home assignment and have
follow up meeting to discuss your proposal.

Toward the final stages you will be invited to meet with our Advisor and
Investor. After this stage, we will move into the last call to talk through
any last minute questions and decision.

Criya focuses on SaaS, Marketplaces, Small and Medium Businesses, and Content
Creators. Their company has offices in New York City, San Francisco, and San
