**Job Description**
Midnight Mansion is looking for a full stack software engineer passionate
about creating well-engineered software solutions. This role is for you if you
enjoy wearing a lot of hats and thrive working on many different things at
once.
This role will primarily focus on Midnight Mansion’s External Projects, which
provides various design and consulting services. Additionally, the role will
involve writing and designing software which contributes to building our
flagship in-person venue. The position will be remote, but there will be times
when projects, events, and installations may require an on-site presence. In-
person work will occur in the Greater Boston area. This is a full-time
position.
We work primarily in TypeScript and React. Our code base involves a lot of
moving parts (metaphorically and literally). At the heart of our system, we
have a centralized venue server that communicates to various room based
systems via a RESTful API. Each room is responsible for the PLC based inputs
and outputs within it.
The ideal person to work at Midnight Mansion has a determined sense of
curiosity, a passion for creating user experiences that delight, a keen eye
for detail, a “blue sky” mentality, is a proactive communicator, and is
someone who readily sets aside ego for teamwork.

Qualifications
While this list encompasses a wide range of skills, realistically, we aren't
expecting to find anyone who has expertise in all of the below. The best way
to know if you qualify is to reach out to us!
* Must-have: 2+ years of experience
* Must-have: TypeScript / JavaScript / Node.js
* Must-have: React or similar front-end frameworks and HTML / CSS
* GIT or similar version control
* Microcontroller / Single Board Computer experience (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Odroid)
* TurboRepo / Yarn Workspaces
* CouchDB
* CI/CD Pipelines
* Graphic Design Experience / Adobe Illustrator / Figma
* Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; we are unable to sponsor applicants for work visas at this time
