About Us:
GPS DataViz is a startup sports data analytics company focused on delivering
cutting-edge solutions to help teams, coaches, and players understand and
interpret performance metrics thru actionable insights delivered straight to
their inbox as soon as they're done training. We are seeking a highly
motivated and skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative team, work on
exciting projects, and be involved in the early stages of a sports analytics
startup company.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop and maintain both the front-end and back-end components of our web applications
* Write efficient and scalable code using Python on the server side and ReactJS on the client side. We use Django for for our backend API
* Integrate third-party APIs into our systems and develop APIs to support data exchange with external parties
* Collaborate with our other developers to design and implement the best practices for API integration and data exchange
* Work with site reliability engineers to monitor and maintain our AWS infrastructure, including Elastic Beanstalk, S3, SES, and Cloudwatch
* Ensure that the software is well-documented and easily maintainable
* Participate in code reviews and testing activities to ensure high-quality code is produced
* Continuously improve our software engineering practices and processes
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Qualifications:
* Strong proficiency in Python and Django
* Experience with ReactJS is a must
* Proven experience with Docker, AWS (EC2, ELB, S3, CloudWatch, Amplify, CodePipeline, RDS)
* Experience working with API servers and integrating with third-party APIs
* Knowledge of full-stack software engineering and site reliability engineering
* Familiarity with Git and Github for source control
* Experience integrating Auth0 is a plus
* Experience with Android/iOS is a plus.
* Experience with front end data visualization frameworks is a plus.
* Experience with Redis Queues is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team
* Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
* BS in Computer Science or related field
