### About us
We’re looking to hire a full-stack engineer to help us to build better
collaboration software for the global supply chain. Billions of dollars are
wasted due to inefficiency in communication and collaboration on the
operational side of supply chain companies.
We’re at a unique point in time to reshape how trillions of dollars of goods
move around the world, and there’s rarely been an opportunity to build fast
and make massive of impact in an industry that is so critical.
Being an early stage startup, we’re most of all looking for someone who can
optimize for velocity and understands the trade-offs that need to be made as
we explore product directions, and is comfortable quickly shifting gears.
We’re a small product team who have worked on anything from foundational
technology at Flexport, self-driving cars, to core AI experiences and products
at Google.
We’re backed by leading investors and are aiming to bring a high level of
craft to an industry that runs on incredibly outdated software.
### About the role
You'll be responsible for writing TypeScript for our React-based front-end
product and diving into NodeJS on our backend. You'll be writing APIs and
integrating into a variety of third party services. Ideally you should have
experience with TypeScript, a strongly typed back-end programming language,
and be comfortable with SQL databases.
Ideally looking for candidates with at least five years of production coding
experience at a high caliber and high velocity team.
* You enjoy working with other team members and customers to understand and solve their problems
* Ability to write clear and maintainable code with a strong passion and emphasis for code quality and quality testing
* Pragmatic approach to software development; how to structure programs and decompose problems, apply patterns, and select the right paradigm for a task
* Clear communication skills with the ability to understand and translate business requirements into technology solutions
* Collaborative and eager mindset to tackle challenges and contribute to design and architecture decisions
On-site in Chicago would be ideal, but we’re open to remote hires in US
timezones.
