promotional products are most of the time low quality. This billion $ market
is shady, and often made of products people throw away after two weeks. Our
vision at Merchery is to offer beautiful, useful and carefully sourced
products that people actually want. We are an early stage startup launched in

...is the opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping and advancing our
technology infrastructure and grow with the company. You will be at the
forefront of driving technological innovation within the company. Collaborate
closely with our founders, CTO and cross-functional teams to contribute to the
development of our platform and ensure its scalability and performance. As a
Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for all our web development
projects, both in terms of design (architecture, data model, etc.) and
development, while playing an active role in back-end development.

* Databases: PostgreSQL* & Redis
* API language: GraphQL*
* CMS: Strapi
* ERP: Odoo
* CI: Git* & Github actions
* Tests: Jest* & playwright
* DevOps: Docker, Ubuntu & bash scripting. Orchestration through Ansible
Knowledge of all those tools is not required, but proficiency in the ones
marked with * is necessary.
Proficiency in Git is also required. Previous experience in a monorepo can
also be very helpful.

1. **Web Development:**
* Lead the development of key features and functionalities on our web platform.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and responsive user experience.
2. **System Architecture:**
* Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and maintainable system architectures.
* Provide technical expertise to guide the team in making sound architectural decisions.
3. **Code Optimization and Performance:**
* Optimize code for performance and scalability.
* Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks to enhance overall system efficiency.
* Play an active role in reducing technical debt.
* Contribute to the implementation of alerting / metrics and corresponding dashboards.
4. **Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:**
* Collaborate with founders to draw the future of our platform.
* Work closely with the Sales, Operations and MarkCom teams to implement changes that enhance conversion and user experience.
5. **Technical Leadership:**
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies, recommending innovations to maintain a competitive edge.

* You have a relevant experience as a developer of minimum 2 years, with a focus on web development
* Proficiency in Typescript, NodeJS, React, NestJS, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Git and Jest
* Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable system architectures
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Good management skills, can distribute tasks, organize sprints with multiple team members and be productive in a team setting
* Can plan ahead, anticipate future needs, and build software that can hold the test of time
* Ambition. Wants to upskill, manage a team and is not afraid of taking in more responsibilities
* Passionate and always up to date in industry best practices
* Prior experience working in a startup or scaleup environment is a plus
